‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11 spoilers: Mila Kunis to join Ashton Kutcher for episode
You knew that this was coming, right? Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis met on a sitcom in “That 70’s Show,” Ashton went back to sitcoms with “Two and a Half Men” a couple of years ago, and he very recently became engaged (reportedly) to his former co-star.
So with all this in mind, it was only inevitable that CBS would announce that Kunis would be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of “Two and a Half Men.” CBS said today that the actress would guest-star in an upcoming episode of the show in the role of Vivian, a frequent world traveler who Walden meets, and almost immediately thinks is the perfect girl for him. The problem with that? He is actually about to ask another woman to marry him. We imagine this other women is the one played by Odette Annable, who has recurred through the second part of this season.
“Two and a Half Men” does have quite a history already when it comes to its stars’ real-life loves appearing on the show. After all, Denise Richards played a similar role for Charlie Sheen on the show back when those two were married many years ago … though that ended not long after the two parties split up.
This casting is the perfect way for the show to grab some ratings at a time that “Two and a Half Men” really needs them. The show improved its ratings somewhat after being moved forward to 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, but what you really have to remember here is that there is likelier a higher threshold here that this show has to reach than many others thanks to the salaries. While there may only be four series regulars, Ashton and Jon Cryer in particular are each paid over $700,000 an episode. Compare that to most sitcom actors, and you are almost paying a whole cast’s money to one person.
