‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9, episode 20 preview: Who is ‘Daisy’; Chris Elliot’s back

Next week’s episode of “How I Met Your Mother” is one that has certainly stirred up plenty of controversy over the past several weeks, and much of that is thanks solely to its name: “Daisy.” Who is this woman? For the longest time, there were rumors left and right that this could be the name of the Mother. However, we don’t exactly believe that to be the case. The show is smart enough to know that this name would come out in advance, and they wouldn’t run the risk of having this be revealed so quickly.

With that being said, the name “Daisy,” much like “Vesuvius” for Monday’s episode, is still a mystery for now. You can still take a look below, though, if you are curious in reading what are at least some basic details from the installment:

“Marshall enlists Ted and Barney to help him figure out where Lily went when she left in the middle of their fight.”

Since we know that Chris Elliot is slated to make one more appearance on the show here as Lily’s dad, we have to believe that he may be involved somehow … even if this is an unusual person for her to run off to, given the state of the two’s relationship over the years. It is at least a nice change of pace for the character, especially when you consider that she was spending more time in “Vesuvius” trying to figure out why Robin was so cool over her wedding.
