ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 17 preview: Stana Katic and ‘In the Belly of the Beast’

Tonight’s episode of “Castle” in “Room 147” was heavy on the mystery, and trying to figure out where all of the pieces of the puzzle lined together. Meanwhile, the next new episode is going to focus on something that is a little bit different: Trying to see a more action-packed side of the Kate Beckett character.

This key hour of TV will carry with it the title of “In the Belly of the Beast,” and feels on the surface like it may be Stana Katic’s most intense episode of this entire season. She is going undercover, and who knows just what she will find on the other side?

Take a look, just in case you haven’t seen it already, at the official synopsis below:

“Beckett is recruited to assist on a Narcotics investigation, but a routine mission turns deadly when an undercover operation goes array. To survive, Beckett must engage in a battle of wits against some of the most dangerous men in the New York underworld – including a powerful enemy from her past.”

The promo below makes it clear that in order to get what she wants, Beckett is going to have to do some pretty terrible things … including impersonate a contract killer and maybe even deal with torture. In summation, get ready for something that looks considerable darker than anything that has been presented as of late.
