ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 16 preview: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s ‘clear’ case
We’re excited about the new episode of “Castle” airing on February 24, but not for the same reason that we were excited for last week’s fun and “Carrie”-inspired case. What is the reason for that? It really just comes back to the simple fact that “Room 147” doesn’t seem so interested in making us laugh or sending Nathan Fillion’s Rick down a lengthy trail of conspiracy.
Instead, the video sneak peek below via ABC has this one much more in “classic whodunnit” territory. But what’s the big twist? There are people claiming that they actually did murder the victim, when there is no way that they could have. For at least a few seconds, Stana Katic’s Beckett thinks that she has set a personal record for being able to solve a case in the interrogation room; however, soon after that Esposito (Jon Huertas) reveals to her that much to her dismay, there is no way that the suspect could have committed the crime. She couldn’t be in two places at the same time.
So why in the world is there a confession in this case? That is the mystery at the center of this one, and we also know already that there are many more confessions where this came from. By the time this episode ends, expect at least one more person to try to make a confession that isn’t true. Either these people are all being severely blackmailed, or they have been caught up in some sort of crazy web of conspiracies where someone is actually holding something terrible over their heads that they feel they must adhere to. Either way, this looks like it is going to be an exciting episode to watch unfold.
