‘Australia’s Next Top Model’ judge Charlotte Dawson found dead at 47

Charlotte Dawson -There is some very shocking and sad news coming out of Australia this weekend for those of you who are fans of the country’s version of the “Top Model” franchise. Charlotte Dawson, a famous model and TV personality in the country as well as her native New Zealand, was found dead at her home in Sydney. She was 47 years old.

According to authorities, there is still an investigation going as to her death, but there are no suspicious circumstances at the moment that suggest foul play. Many have suggested that Dawson took her own live, largely due to her own history with depression. She had previously led campaigns against Twitter bullies and trolls after becoming the subject of massive hate on the social-networking site, which is something that many celebrities have struggled with over the years. There are some people who will sadly just try to get a rise out of you in any form, even if it means by saying terrible things to you.

Foxtel, who are the producers of “Australia’s Next Top Model,” said in a statement that “this is tragic news and deeply sad. Our sympathies are with Charlotte’s family and friends.”

Meanwhile, actor Russell Crowe, who knew Dawson for most of her life, also posted a message on Twitter expressing his own devastation:

“Charley D…Just don’t understand. There’s not enough kind souls as it is. Rest in peace.”

Dawson was a part of the reality competition show for six seasons after joining in the third cycle. There were rumors about her not taking part in the upcoming season, but they were never confirmed. She is also known for hosting the country’s “The Contender.”

Condolences and well-wishes go out to all of Dawson’s family during what has to be a very difficult time for them. We’ll have some more news on this story as it comes out.
