‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Is another new love interest coming?

With us getting closer to the final season of “True Blood,” the interest from the writers is going to be to try and give many of the characters a happy ending. After all, you don’t really want to see them have anything other than a happy ending … right?

With that in mind, we are pleased to present to you a little bit of evidence that a certain character in Arlene may have some sort of peace and happiness despite the tragedy that unfolded last summer with Terry. According to a new report from TVLine, the show is currently casting for a “romantic vampire” by the name of Keith, who happens to be a drummer in a band fronted by James, who was recently recast after Luke Grimes dropped out of the role. Apparently, James has a band? We guess that happened at some point during the flash-forward during the season 6 finale.

For those of you complaining that it is “too soon” for Arlene to have a new man after what happened to Terry, you have to remember that there was such a long period of time that passed. Can you really blame Carrie Preston’s character if she did want to move forward and be happy with someone? We certainly can’t, especially when you remember that both of her major relationships on the show have ended horribly. This is a woman who really deserves to be loved by someone special, and while it would be somewhat strange and surprising if it ended up being a vampire, we definitely wouldn’t have any major problem with it. After all, vampires have been shown at times to be among the most awesome characters on the show.
