‘Call the Midwife’ season 3, episode 6 preview: Could Jessica Raine resurface soon?

Is Jenny going to be back on “Call the Midwife” soon? While you had a tiny glimpse of her in tonight’s episode, we know that won’t be enough to satisfy fans of the character forever. She is away at the Motherhouse still working on finding herself again, and her future with the rest of the characters is unclear.

Luckily, there is one thing that all fans of the character should remember: There is no news out there regarding Jessica Raine potentially leaving the show. Therefore, you have to assume that she will be coming back eventually. She was not featured prominently in the preview for the episode airing next week, so unless there is a surprise, you better prepare yourself more for a story that features other elements and other people in the episode.

Are we still nervous about the series for as long as she is gone? Sure, but what we saw tonight really served as evidence to us of one thing: The show can work very well even if she is not around, as hard as that may be for us to bear. They just need to ensure that they have a story that can grab you (and potentially reduce you to tears) along the way. So far, we don’t get the same great vibes from next week like we did with Sally and Jacob, but it’s still early. All of this could change at some point in the near future.
