ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 really going all out with this wine-and-popcorn theme

“Scandal” clearly likes to find a theme and stick to it; thanks to that, they are really pouring (intentional word choice there) quite a lot into their new promotion effort, which really highlights two of the most popular symbols from the show in wine and popcorn.

Want more evidence of that? Just look at the two videos below, which either mention wine or popcorn or feature them prominently in some shape or form. Who knew that wine and popcorn was really that big of a combination? Personally, we feel like a better compliment to popcorn is something that works along with that sort of buttery flavor, like a nice soda. (Then again, this also leads to fewer drunken arguments.)

One of the reasons why this is being emphasized, though, is so that the show can really stretch the whole concept of having watching parties, and people getting out there so that they can enjoy the show together in almost any way that they possibly can. The entire basis surrounding the popularity here is that this is a show that people really want to get together and discuss. That is why it fares so well on social media, and why there are so many diehard fans of it out there.
