‘The Bachelor’ rankings: Nikki Ferrell, Renee Oteri, Clare Crawley contend for Juan Pablo Galavis
Now that we are at a point in “The Bachelor” where we actually know who everyone is, we have the luxury of being able to rank the full crop of contenders for the first full time all season.
The only regret that we have? That ABC is not exactly making this difficult. Most of these contestants are pretty easy to pin down as for if they are serious contenders or soon-to-be eliminated, at least based on the amount of screen time they receive and also what their relationship is like right now with Juan Pablo Galavis. It may be a little bit harder to figure out just who is the favorite is at the end of the day, but there are seemingly a few who rise to the top in the midst of all the others.
8. Chelsie Webster (last week: unranked) – Even though she seems to be very likable and has a great career path already, it doesn’t feel like there is that much of a future there for her and Juan Pablo.
7. Kat Hurd (unranked) – Since that first one-on-one date with Juan Pablo, what has she really done? There was a little bit of drama at the pool party, but that was really it. There just isn’t a story arc here, and there traditionally is for the ladies who make it to the end.
6. Cassandra Ferguson (4) – It feels like Cassandra’s story really ended the moment that she and Juan Pablo had their one-on-one date. From that point on, she hasn’t had that much to do.
5. Andi Dorfman (5) – At this point, Andi is the real wild card of this competition in that she could be a big contender for Juan Pablo, or she could be someone who really doesn’t connect with him. Her one-on-one date does have shades of Catherine Giudici’s, who, if you remember, had to wait a while for her moment to shine.
4. Clare Crawley (1) – It wasn’t a great week for Clare, and the way that she speaks about him in the press should be some sort of evidence that these two crazy kids don’t find a way to make it work at the end of the day.
3. Renee Oteri (unranked) – Renee made some big strides of her own last week with a kiss, and while her relationship with Juan Pablo has improved, it’s not necessarily at the point yet where we think she is a lock.
2. Sharleen Joynt (3) – Here is the thing with Sharleen: She is either going to leave at some point in the coming weeks, or she’ll end up winning with the whole “I didn’t realize how good I had it” sort of thing that we saw from Desiree Hartsock. We’re still thinking that the former is more likely, but given what we know about Bachelors (save for Brad Womack) rarely picking single moms and Clare’s meltdown, it seems like a good spot for her despite her reservations.
1. Nikki Ferrell (2) – At this point, Nikki really feels almost like the safe choice. She may have caused a little drama, but Juan Pablo isn’t really seeing any of that. She has a good relationship with him, has a story arc, and doesn’t have any of the major negatives that the women before her do.
