‘The X Factor’ USA: Alex & Sierra working with Maroon 5 guitarist, others
The good news continues for Alex & Sierra as they continue along their post-“X Factor” album recording process.
Earlier on in the week, we reported that the two winners have recorded some in a famous studio that also once featured the legendary Michael Jackson. Now, we might as well move over and start reporting a little bit all about who the two have been working with as of late while prepping to get a debut album out later this year.
The most notable name hinted at in a post from the group’s Twitter account is James Valentine, who is the lead guitarist for Maroon 5 as well as the guitarist for indie band JJAMZ. He also has ties from his personal life to songwriter Ali Tamposi, who is best known for her work on “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).” In continuing to play this game of connecting the dots, she also worked as a vocal trainer for “The X Factor” during this past season (now reported to be the last).
Finally, the third member fo the songwriting team working with the pair now is Ruth-Anne Cunningham, who has done songs with Britney Spears as well as Avicii, one of the hottest DJ acts of the last year courtesy of a variety of singles. All in all, this is pretty good company to surround yourself with.
Obviously, we’ll continue to have some more updates on their upcoming album throughout the entire process, much like we did when it came to the “X Factor” contestants who came off the show last year. Many of them, including Fifth Harmony and Emblem3, have been able to secure some pretty great tours for themselves to expand their fanbase even further.
