‘The X Factor’ USA: Alex and Sierra record at famed studio
Here is some more cool news when it comes to “The X Factor” winners Alex & Sierra: Not only are they still hard at work on their next album, but are recording it in a place made famous by a number of the biggest stars in the history of music.
In a post on their Instagram page (see below), Alex & Sierra announced that they are working at the moment at the famed Westlake Recording Studios, which once housed none other than the legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson. It’s obviously a great dose of music history, and something that has to be very cool to be a part of. (In case you are wondering, some of the other artists to record at this famed studio include Weezer, Josh Groban, Britney Spears, Shakira, and Kelly Clarkson. All in all, pretty good company to keep.)
The recording trajectory of Alex & Sierra so far has felt in many ways similar to some of the other contestants to come out of the “X Factor” franchise over the years, as they have hit the studio almost right away and could have a new album out later this spring or in early summer, depending on how the rest of the progress goes. It’s a pretty quick turnaround for a disc, but it can work out to be a great thing if you have the right producers and writers around you.
As for the future of the show in America, there is still no word on whether or not there will be a fourth season. The ratings weren’t great at all for season 3, but this is a franchise that has such success around the world that it cannot be ignored.
