‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Take a look at Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin Chenoweth at work
Just in case you ever doubted for a second that Gwyneth Paltrow was not going to reprise her role as Holly Holliday on the 100th episode of “Glee,” allow for the photo attached here to be some sort of evidence that it’s going down.
The image here was first posted by creator Ryan Murphy on Twitter, and we suppose that this is at least a tiny bit of evidence that the two are going to be spending a little bit of time together during this spectacular. In a way, it makes sense given that they were both tied to Will at one point or another during the show’s run, and also to New Directions as a whole. Have either one of them necessarily been essential parts of the story? We would dispute that somewhat, but we do at least recognize that they each brought something different and fun to the proceedings, and Paltrow in particular helped to teach some of the kids something a little bit different during her brief time at the front of the choir room.
These two ladies are in the end just one part of what is an enormous guest cast for this event, one that includes the likes of Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and some others. While the story for the time being is a little bit of an unknown, what we can say for now is that it appears as though Sue Sylvester may have finally found a way to destroy the glee club, and it is up to New Directions and some of the other people involved in its history to try to pay tribute to it.
