‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele posts photo with Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz

Have you been waiting for a first look at Heather Morris from her return to “Glee”? Well, we now have that in the attached photo from Lea Michele’s Twitter account. This image is one that shows Lea alongside Heather and Jenna Ushkowitz, with the returning woman behind Brittany S. Pierce going for what is certainly a pretty goofy reaction.

The news of Heather’s return for the 100th episode came as mostly a surprise to everyone, thanks largely to the fact that she is by far the show’s most enigmatic cast member. She frequently chooses to shun the spotlight, and does not have any sort of public social media. Also, she welcomed a child last fall, and that helped to make it unclear as to what she was going to do with the show throughout season 5.

Ultimately, it’s best to treat her guest appearance right now strictly for what it is: A great chance to see the Brittany character again. There are no guarantees that she’ll appear again beyond this event, or if she will be back for a larger role during season 6. We do at least know that if she does come back, there are going to be a good many people happy about it. Brittany is one of the show’s longtime most-popular characters, especially when you are talking about her relationship with Santana and also some of her famous one-liners. (“Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?” is probably her most-famous one.)

“Glee” returns with “Frenemies,” an episode featuring Adam Lambert again as Starchild, on Tuesday, February 25. The 100th episode will come a little bit later, and should bring some more attention to the show. Given that it will compete against “NCIS,” “The Originals,” and “Agents of SHIELD,” it probably needs just about all of the help that it can get.
