‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 trailer: Early impressions on Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, more
On Sunday night at 8:58 p.m. Eastern time (seriously), HBO unveiled what was the official trailer for “Game of Thrones” season 4. Basically, it was an event so anticipated, it was almost worth not having to watch the Golden Globes for a few minutes. (Hey, they snubbed the show a lot anyway.)
Luckily, HBO delivered on time, and gave us a trailer that was above all, awesome. It looks like war is here, and it is going to be definitely chaotic. There are battles, weddings, new characters, and so much more. Specifically, there were brief glimpses in the trailer of what looks to be the Purple Wedding between Margaery and Joffrey, and also a major battle involving Castle Black.
Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage once seemed to be on the forefront when it comes to great material, but we’d say that the one actor to keep watch over moving forward on the show is Charles Dance. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was the Lannister with the greatest amount of material over the past year, but this time around, we expect the year of Tywin to be a great one.
The unfortunate thing after watching this premiere is simply knowing that the wait for “Game of Thrones” season 4’s April 6 premiere is still quite a long ways away … and the next few months aren’t going to move any faster just because we want to will them to move faster in our mind. Luckily, we’re going to be your source for all sorts of good stuff along the way! This is not the only trailer that HBO is going to be releasing over the next few months, after all.
