‘Person of Interest’ season 3, episode 12 preview: First look at ‘Aletheia’
Before we do anything else when it comes to discussing the new episode of “Person of Interest” that is airing on CBS next week, we may as well take a few minutes to touch on what has to be a pretty important subject at this point: What in the world does “Aletheia” really mean?
In getting out our own personal TV Title Translator (which we should patent at this point after what “Sons of Anarchy” did to us this past season), the word translates to be a synonym of “truth,” more or less. Just think of it along the lines of symbolism that there is something big to be revealed.
We also have two other very important exhibits showing that there is something big happening when this episode airs a week from Tuesday. First of all, you have the official synopsis below from CBS:
“In the concluding chapter to the shocking winter cliffhanger, multiple enemies converge on the POI team as they protect a dying man whose number has come up. They struggle to keep their enemies at bay but without Reese, who has left them and their mission behind following the tragic war with HR, being down one man could have catastrophic repercussions for the team.”
Also, the promo below certainly makes things all the more dramatic with questions about another machine, and what can be done in order to make the team worthy protectors. To use a “Game of Thrones” analogy, everyone realizes that the Machine is more or less the Iron Throne of this show in that whoever has it has the power. Therefore, they have to do whatever they can in order to ensure that they keep it.
But with this all being said, we don’t know how many more “catastrophic repercussions” we can take on this show right now given that we have already lost Taraji P. Henson from the cast.
