‘The X Factor’ UK: Are Nicholas McDonald, Rough Copy, and Tamera Foster getting record deals?

What could be coming next for some of the stars of “The X Factor” UK this past season? The obvious answer to that is starting off careers as a recording artist, but what may be interesting to you is hearing about just who is being considered for a deal with Sony Music and all of their assorted companies.

According to a new report coming out now from The Sun, the likes of Nicholas McDonald, Rough Copy, and Tamera Foster could all be under consideration of getting a record contract within the three-month window that Sony / Syco uses to figure out the future of their acts. Hearing this news for Tamera is a given, since producers and folks behind the scenes seemed convinced that she may have more mainstream staying power than anyone. But Rough Copy is a little bit more of a gamble, and we personally don’t get Nicholas at all. He’s a great singer, but what makes him stand out more than the other ballad singers his age that have appeared on the show?

The other surprising omission here is Luke Friend, but for him, that may be a good thing. We do personally believe still that he is better off forming an indie band, recording music at his own pace, and taking his career in a direction that best suits him. It may be more work on his end, but it should lead to much greater results.

Who do you think from this season of “The X Factor” is best qualified to get a record deal? We want to hear some of your thoughts below!
