‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 11 preview: First look at controversial ‘Bully’

Criminal Minds -Over the past few years, the anti-bullying movement has been a big one in the wake of all of the tragedies that have occurred as a result of some pretty terrible treatment at school or at home. But what happens when the bullied grow up and become something even worse than a bully? That’s what we are going to find out on “Criminal Minds” next week.

We have to start off here by saying that personally, there is something about the idea for this episode that personally irks us. It feels almost like the writers just got together and tried to figure out a way to twist the bullying movement and turn it into a story, and this entire thing feels better suited for some over-the-top slasher movie than a show that at least attempts to be realistic at times. The only part of this premise that we really buy into at the moment is the thought of someone growing up and deciding that they are going to change their image after being picked on. That really happens more times than we can count.

This episode will at least serve for what may as well be labeled a “fall finale,” given that there is no episode following it on December 16 and there’s no way that the show is running anything two days before Christmas. We like to think of this little important detail as “raising the game” for the episode. You want to end the fall season on a good note, and also leave people feeling good about you, given that it is going to be probably a little while before they watch the show again. Both are important, and are factors that cannot be ignored.
