‘Dancing with the Stars’ 17 finale: TLC, Kellie Pickler, Lady Antebellum to appear

Here's the cast -Obviously, ABC knows that they have themselves quite an event courtesy of the upcoming season 17 finale for “Dancing with the Stars,” and they are therefore trying their best to turn it into as interesting of an event as possible. While the ratings haven’t been a home run this year, they at least realize that there is some good controversy this time around. Somehow, Bill Engvall has gone the distance despite being the permanent underdog, and he at least now has a good chance of becoming a member of the final three.

The way the show is structure this time is pretty simple, at least in that the remaining four couples (which include Corbin Bleu, Amber Riley, Engvall, and Jack Osbourne) are going to start things off with three dances on the first night, and that includes the infamous freestyle that constantly poses a “make it or break it” sort of situation for the dancers. If you want to win this show, you have to do one that really blows everyone anyway.

At the end of this show, there will be a contestant eliminated, and then Tuesday night brings us a special second part of the equation that will feature an “instant” dance at least in that they’ve had 24 hours to work on it. The past contestants will return, and of course a winner will be crowned.

As for the musical guests, you’ve got quite an eclectic mix ranging from reigning champion Kellie Pickler to the surviving members of TLC to Lady Antebellum to Enrique Iglesias to even Yivis, who are the curators behind that crazy song “What Does the Fox Say?”. This song inspired a great group dance number earlier this season, and it’s pretty clear that we are probably going to be in for a reprise soon enough.
