‘Dancing with the Stars’ week 9 rankings: Can Bill Engvall or Leah Remini surprise everyone?

Meet Bill -We are now getting close to the end of “Dancing with the Stars” this season, which means that we have to pose what is the all-important question: Who is the most likely to win? All five dancers have had their great moments, and then all five of them have also had their times of struggle. Nobody has been perfect this year, but we still hold firm to our belief that there has been a sort of universal favorite that has been at the top since the very beginning.

With the all-important factors of performance quality and also fan following in mind, we now come to the point where we really try to figure out where all of the remaining dancers stand. Agree with us? Disagree? Either way, we have a poll at the bottom of this article for you to share some of your thoughts.

5. Bill Engvall and Emma Slater (last week: 6) – Yes, Bill is still in the competition, much to the surprise of even some of his diehard fans. This is evidence that you just can’t discount fun! But, the “fun” person who is not particularly good is rarely someone who wins. The good news here for Bill is that it feels like he has gone far enough in the competition that he is going to be able to get some new sort of acting gig in the future.

4. Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani (5) – The good news for Leah is that we feel like she’s got a good shot now of getting into the final week in the competition, since all you have to do is find a way to keep Bill and the rest of the competition at bay. She’s not the best dancer, but we think that in between some of the other performers and having a popular pro, she could make it into the finale.

3. Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke (4) – Jack has continued to do a great job this entire season of just staying consistent, and also knowing who the fans are and how to appeal to them. This is a much more difficult challenge than people at times realize, since you have to focus so much on the technical part of the dance, as well. We still feel like this episode is a two-person race, but Jack could at least keep things interesting and provide an emotional life (one that Carrie Ann Inaba will not penalize) come finale time.

2. Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff (3) – Thanks to the stunning elimination of Elizabeth Berkley, we now find Corbin back in this position yet again right behind the show’s longtime favorite in Amber. We really feel like he’s got all of the capabilities to win the show, except for maybe the one thing that needs the most: An enormous following. The one thing that he can hope for is that some of his former “High School Musical” fans campaign hard.

1. Amber Riley and Derek Hough (1) – We’re still sitting here and riding with our original prediction, and that is that Amber is going to be the dancer standing at the end of the show. We’ve learned through “Glee” ratings as of late that this is hardly a smash hit anymore, but she still has a larger following than the two dancers directly behind her in terms of performance quality. The combination of scores and votes should push her over the top.
