‘Ellen’s’ 1700th show: Adam Lambert ‘talking’ with new labels, producers on next album

The latest -This has been a pretty big week for Adam Lambert, and it also turns out to be a pretty big week for Ellen DeGeneres. The singer / actor appeared on “Ellen” last week to guest-DJ and also talk about his role as Starchild on “Glee” (pictured), but he managed to stop by again today on the daytime talk-show host’s 1700th show. That does seem like a somewhat odd milestone to celebrate, but we imagine that anytime that you get to another hundred, it’s worth of some sort of little dancing celebration down the aisle. (Strangely, we now picture Kate McKinnon doing that more so than her thanks to “Saturday Night Live.”)

So what did Adam talk about on Ellen’s show this time around? It was just a brief appearance, but he mentioned that he is “talking” with new record labels and producers on an upcoming third post-“American Idol” studio album. There was also a mention in here of his track “Lay Me Down” on the new Avicii album.

While we could sit here and turn this article into a campaign to get “Lay Me Down” as the next single following up “Wake Me Up” (Nile Rodgers has also surged in popularity as of late), we’ll instead focus on some of what we know for sure is coming up for Adam … meaning some more appearances Starchild on the Fox show. We know that Demi Lovato still has four more to air on the show, and depending on how long the band storyline sticks, he could be around for a chunk of time, as well. As we can confirm for now is that he has one more episode at least, which should do enough to debunk those silly rumors that his story was a one-and-done sort of like what Ricky Martin and Matt Bomer did.
