‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 video: Norman Reedus awesomeness abounds on ‘Conan’

The latest -There are many reasons to watch and enjoy “The Walking Dead,” and Norman Reedus just so happens to be one of them. So to see him appear on Conan O’Brien’s late-night talk show this week was just an added treat to prepare us for Sunday night’s hopefully-intense episode “Isolation.”

Basically, this interview featuring Norman covered many components related to the AMC show, “Boondock Saints,” and also his everyday life. He spoke about just how good he really is at a crossbow, and how carrying that thing around all day while shooting is really one of the best ways possible to lose weight and stay in shape. Also, we learn that Reedus has at least an unfair advantage at one paintball place in America, courtesy of a guy who lets him use a special weapon that is a tribute-of-sorts to his aforementioned cult film with Sean Patrick Flanery.

While you can also learn a little bit of his mastery of dirty looks, one of our other favorite parts here is hearing about the passion / insanity of some “Walking Dead” fans, and the sort of stuff that they traditionally choose to either bring for him to fan conventions or send him in the mail. The two strangest ones to date have to be either squirrel meat or a breast implant, but we may have to go with the former here as the craziest. After all, this fan was bold enough to not only capture the squirrel, but then bring it to him in public. Breast implants are certainly unusual, but let’s be honest: How many musicians have probably received one of these over the course of their careers? Probably more than have received squirrel. (To Norman’s credit, he is actually finding a practical use for the thing!)

In the end, it’s just a little bit of Norman-based fun, and a reminder as to why it’s so nice to see the “Walking Dead” cast on talk shows whenever they can make it out of the set in Atlanta to take part.
