‘The X Factor’ UK rumors: Could Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue really return?

The latest news -Maybe the judges on “The X Factor” UK have finally realized that the grass may be greener on the other side of the fence?

According to new reports coming out this weekend via The Sun, it is possible that the series is going to reunite all of the judges that were around on the show from 2008 until 2010 for another go of things, and that includes Dannii Minogue, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Cheryl Cole. Is there a lot of water under the bridge with these four? Definitely, whether it be tabloid headlines or even a lawsuit that Cheryl filed to get her money from the American version of the show. But in the end, the four drew enormous ratings in Britain and remain one of the most-popular judging panels out there.

Logistically, it makes some sense that the stars could also be aligning in order for this to happen. Cheryl could use a singing show job to promote her solo career, Dannii has resumed judging on the Australian version of the show, and Simon’s time on the American version of the show could be over soon … mostly because the ratings for the American version of the show are pretty terrible this year. Also, we know that Sharon Osbourne was only planning to return for a year, and Gary Barlow has already announced that he plans to leave in order to tour with his new album.

There are only two little issues that we see with the initial report here.

1. This report claims that the American version of “The X Factor” could continue, but without Cowell thanks to a budget cut … which makes no sense. Why continue to air a sinking ship without one of the few reasons people watched in the first place?

2. This report also suggests that Nicole Scherzinger is thinking about leaving to focus more on her family and music, but isn’t this a great gig for her? We don’t know just how popular she really is when she is not a part of this program, but it could be a nice way for her to save face if the show goes in another direction.

Even though it makes sense to be skeptical of this report, what do you make of it? Share below, and click here if you want to read our take on all of the contestants this week.
