Marvel’s ‘Agents of SHIELD’ to air ‘Thor: The Dark World’ continuation episode
Here is a reason for some of you major Marvel fans to tune back in to watch “Agents of SHIELD” if you have understandably given up on it: Marvel announced this weekend that the upcoming episode “The Well,” airing on November 19, is going to be a continuation-of-sorts from the events that transpire in the movie “Thor: The Dark World,” which hits theaters on this coming Friday in North America.
The first thing that we should note here is that this show is not going to have any actors that were actually in the movie, so don’t expect to see Chris Hemsworth come on your TV screen and make you suddenly faint on the floor. Instead, this will still revolve around the same batch of characters, but they will be battling slightly different circumstances than anything that they did in the original film. Take a look at the full description below:
“In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces – one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team.”
Given that this is an episode that is airing directly after the events of the Marvel movie we assume that there is going to have to be some spoilers thrown in there. Is that great for publicity? Sure, but it’s a lot to ask of people to go spend $10 a ticket (at least) plus concessions to go enjoy a movie in theaters, and to do it in time that they will then be able to check out the show. We’re sure that there will at least be a little amount of vagueness to the “Agents of SHIELD” story, though, that you can enjoy the movie at a later date; these people were not around with Thor during his story, so they will probably just gleam a few things based on what was left behind.
