‘Dancing with the Stars’ 17: Newly-eliminated Snooki posts thank-you to Sasha Farber
Whether you loved Snooki or hated her on “Dancing with the Stars” this season, you cannot argue with the notion that she left the show well before her time. She didn’t have the lowest scores on the night, had shown flashes of brilliance on the dance floor, and probably was hurt mostly by the fact that she came into the show pre-judged by those who don’t like her from her party girl “Jersey Shore” days. The fact that this is one of the oldest-skewing reality shows out there probably didn’t help her either. Most of the people who watch still think that the Jersey Shore is only a place, and not also a reality TV show that briefly took the world by storm.
What Snooki is feeling after her elimination is a little bit of nostalgia, but also the realization that being on this show is like being a part of a massive family that includes her partner Sasha Farber. After her exit, the reality star posted a rather nice tribute to the guy on her official Instagram page:
“Dear Sasha, words can not express how much fun you have made this experience for me. You were not only my friend but you were an AMAZING teacher and taught me how to dance. I will always remember DWTS as a blessing and dude..We Killed It!!! Maybe we left a little bit sooner than planned, but I’m so happy how far we went and you truly are an amazing dancer and I couldn’t be happier with being partnered with you. You will always be a close friend to me. LOTS OF LOVE Gummy Bear, Squirrel. Next time in town we’ll do flips and drink wine.”
For Sasha, he had a pretty unique experience, as well. While all pros form a connection to the celebrity that they are paired with, he is one of those who really would cherish this given that Snooki was his first partner as a main part of the show. He’ll hold onto that, regardless of how much longer this show lasts. (Personally, we only see it getting a few more seasons depending on what the ratings are moving forward the rest of the season.)
