‘The X Factor’ UK: Sese Foster explains hospitalization, says she still deserves shot

The latest -When you consider the ratio of headlines concerning Sese Foster of “The X Factor” UK’s Miss Dynamix to the number of times that the group has actually performed on the show, you will realize that the ratio is more than a little bit off. For someone who did not receive just a ton of audition screen time before bootcamp, she has certainly become a lightning rod for controversy now. It started when the news first came out that she decided not to disclose her pregnancy to producers until after she made the live shows, feeling as though it could impact her chances (something that Gary Barlow has denied). Then, there was her hospitalization this weekend, which led soon after to the group getting a one-week pass to the next round as per the rules.

Despite coming under criticism and demands to just quit the competition, Foster is explaining now why she wont’ give up. Just take a look at her official comments per the Mirror:

“If I just give up, I’ll be left in my council flat struggling again and I still deserve a shot at a better life.

“In case some of you are misunderstood, it was nothing to do with me being pregnant. I had an anxiety attack and it’s happened a lot in my life. My baby’s fine, the heart rate is lovely. I just need to calm my nerves before performing.”

Sese and her group will likely get that chance this weekend pending another surprising interruption, but for the time being, it’s hard to consider them a favorite. As a matter of fact, the ladies are probably the current favorites to be in danger of going home, as the Kingsland Road fans will likely rally behind them somewhat after a surprising placement in the bottom two. The contestants that you knew would be out early are now both gone in Lorna Simpson and Shelley Smith.

As it turns out, Sese was not even the only contestant who was hospitalized this weekend. Following the results show Abi Alton also was admitted as a precaution following a nasty fall backstage. We’re starting to think this show has more medical emergencies than any other singing competition, as we also had Lucy Spraggan’s illness last season that drew headlines.
