‘The X Factor’ USA: Hear Fifth Harmony’s ‘Better Together’ EP, Carly Rose Sonenclar’s new cover

Take a look -In just a week we’re going to have the opportunity to check out the EP from Fifth Harmony in “Better Together,” but would you rather hear it now? Well, we’ve got exactly what you are looking for in that case.

In the video box below (via MTV), you can hear all five songs that the ladies are putting out this year, which was done presumably so that there would be some music out in the marketplace in time for the holiday season. Did we and everyone else want to hear a full album? Sure, but this still clocks in at over 20 minutes, and gives you a good idea at what the sound of the group is going to be. It’s purely pop, but there are some hints of dance and at times R&B in there. It’s proof that the ladies have come a long way in a year since being on “The X Factor,” and they are probably going to continue to grow over the coming months.

The stream below of the EP also includes “Me & My Girls,” which is the song that they released a music video for a little earlier this year. It was a surprise to many that it was not actually on the album itself, but that to us just means that they have confidence in everything else on here.

So what is next for the ladies? An appearance on an upcoming live show is certainly in order, since there’s nothing that Simon Cowell would want more than to get them more press. Also, you can probably expect the same thing for Emblem3, and we hope that they continue to support runner-up Carly Rose Sonenclar.

Speaking of Carly, want to hear her latest cover? Then just watch the video below, where she performs the Alicia Keys song “Brand New Me.” There are a few notes in here that we really like; it’s different than what we heard from her before, or even in some of her past videos.

In case you hadn’t heard earlier this month, you can also check out Carly on an upcoming episode of “Law & Order: SVU,” which makes her the second “X Factor” alum to appear on a crime drama. (Astro was on “Person of Interest” last year.) For fans of the NBC show, we’ve got an exclusive interview coming tomorrow with one of the stars in Danny Pino.
