Jimmy Kimmel turns Miley Cyrus in Ken Burns documentary (video)

Jimmy Kimmel -This is turning out to be quite a week for Miley Cyrus, at least when it comes to getting about a million ways in which to get publicity. (Hey, isn’t this what the former “Hannah Montana” star seems to be going for these day?) First, there was the announcement of her hosting “Saturday Night Live,” and the hype surrounding that is already building. Then, there was the mess with Sinaed O’Connor, which is one of those Ron Burgundy-esque fights that escalated quickly. Basically, it went from attempts at “support” to name-calling in a matter of hours.

Now, we turn to Jimmy Kimmel, otherwise known as the master of getting himself involved these days in ridiculous fights with artists. (Just ask Kanye West if you’re looking for more proof of that.) There has been quite a bit of silliness had in his video parodies over the years, and the Ken Burns “documentary” starring Miley below is yet another. This is meant to mock those classic films on PBS, as we have a special all about Miley airing on PBS.

So will this video take off like the Kanye one? Probably not, mostly because Miley has a number of other gigs coming up that she needs to worry about. With that being said, it is still pretty funny, and clearly in good fun. We’ll just have to see if we feel the same about Miley’s edition of “SNL” when it comes on this weekend. (For those of you who are fanatics about the show, we’ll have a full review up for it after the episode airs.)
