‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 4, episode 2 preview: When ‘aloha’ meets ‘howdy’

The latest -Did you enjoy the “Hawaii Five-0” season 4 premiere? Well, there is going to be more where that came from next week; not only that, but you are going to have a guest star to go along with it. Former “Private Practice” star Tim Daly will be taking the stage in an episode entitled “A’ ale Ma’a Wau,” which is Hawaiian for “Fish Out of Water.” Make sense already? We have a feeling that it should.

Based on the description below, you can probably already tell that we are looking at an installment here that is both fun and a little bit different than what the show has given us already:

“A Five-0 murder investigation leads the team to help a Texas Ranger who comes to the island to find his missing daughter. Meanwhile, Kono and Adam fight to stay alive when their hidden location is discovered.”

We’re appreciative of the fact that we are seeing the series try out new ventures and dip into other ideas in their fourth season, which we feel is especially important given the new Friday time slot. We don’t know just how many people actually watched the episode just yet, but the challenge that comes with a move like this is trying to find a way to ensure that you keep all of the regular viewers, and maybe even capitalize on a few that may watch live now that it’s not up against “Castle.” There is no other crime drama airing at the same time on another network, and that has to be perceived as somewhat of a benefit.
