‘Glee’ season 5: See first art for Cory Monteith tribute episode

Take a look -There is no doubt that Fox is in a pickle when it comes to promoting the upcoming Cory Monteith tribute episode of “Glee.” They want to make sure that his memory is properly preserved and even celebrated on the show, and they want to make viewers aware of it who have possibly not seen very much of the show over the past few years. At the same time, they have to teeter on that line of not being exploitative.

This art is obviously simple, with the image of Cory’s face front and center along with the phrase that “the hardest word to say is goodbye.” This episode is entitled “The Quarterback,” and is being carefully made as a celebration of Monteith and his character Finn. There is no plan to actually explain how Finn died, and the reactions are going to vary across the board from one character to another. Also, don’t expect this episode to necessarily be Rachel Berry-heavy.

This is going to be the last episode airing on the show before it goes on a lengthy hiatus, and it will be back in November following the end of the baseball season. This will also provide the show with an opportunity to regroup, figure out the story for the rest of the season, and then move forward while still holding Finn’s memory close. We just hope that as the show moves forward, they do remember where they came from. We also hope that if they ever do pair Rachel off with someone else, they don’t choose to do it too soon.
