‘Breaking Bad’ series finale: AMC to air extended ‘Talking Bad’ before ‘Low Winter Sun’

What's next -For the final episode of “Breaking Bad,” AMC is finally going to do what millions of people have been wanting ever since the start of the summer: Actually airing “Talking Bad” after the show, and leaving “Low Winter Sun” until later on at night.

The network has confirmed this weekend that the Chris Hardwick-hosted show will expand to a full hour for the series finale, and is also set to include an impressive array of guest stars to go along with it. The likes of creator Vince Gilligan, stars Aaron Paul and RJ Mitte, and even past stars Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks are set to appear alongside special guest and superfan Jimmy Kimmel. We’re slightly surprised that Bryan Cranston is not currently on the roster, but he could tape in an appearance in the event that he is not actually there live.

As of right now, we expect the “Breaking Bad” finale to bring in some more-than-huge ratings; specifically, we predict it will beat the season premieres of everything on that night, which will include the likes of “The Amazing Race,” “The Good Wife,” “The Simpsons,” “Once Upon a Time,” and even “Homeland” over on Showtime. None of them have the buzz going for them right now, even though we have already seen the “Homeland” premiere and feel like it was one of the better episodes that the show has put out so far. It’s just that Gilligan has created an unstoppable force at this point with the show, and since we are so close to the end, the numbers are probably going to go nowhere but up.
