‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ episode 2 preview: The ‘old’ Colton Cumbie returns (video)
During the entire preseason leading up to the “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” premiere, all we were hearing from Colton Cumbie was just how badly he wanted to come out and prove to people that he was different, and that there was a different side to him. Personally, we figured there were only one of two ways that bringing him back after his controversy would go. He would either find a way to completely turn this around and be seen as something more than just an ignorant, offensive guy with a good “Survivor” strategy, or it would blow up completely in CBS’ face.
Well, it is now starting to look like the latter. In the promo for next week’s episode, Colton gripes, complains and is unhappy for whatever reason about most people on his tribe seemingly enjoying themselves in the game. Why can’t he just enjoy being a part of “Survivor” a second time? His resting position on the show for whatever reason seems to be misery. He then vows to stir up some chaos, which we don’t see working that well on a tribe that has two former winners (in Aras Baskauskas and Tina Wesson), and a man in Tyson Apostol who knows BS when he sees it.
We know that Colton can be a good player, but his attitude plus his comments keep that from coming out time and time again. The irony here is that we really like his fiance Caleb Bankston, and he seems to be doing a pretty good job of being a contributor on the other camp; plus, he even has himself an alliance in what we may as well call the Five Amigos. (If Colton does leave, we wonder if it will change the ratings after so many people “protested” the season because of him.)
Also next week, we have our first duel! There are two things to make out from the promo:
1. Gervase Peterson has probably figured out that his niece Marissa leaving is mostly his fault for the ultimately “Survivor” party fowl of celebrating after contributing a net negative in the last challenge.
2. Laura Boneham is emotional, which can’t be good for Rupert.
Come back later this weekend, as we’re going to break down more of this premiere episode piece by piece, highlighting some of the best players and those likely to leave the game soon.

Colton be gone!. If this tribe of previous players dont unload him quick they will regret it. Did not like him then and dont like him now. He whinny bitch attitude makes you want to mute the TV everytime he opens his mouth. Tribe throw the challenge vote him out to redemption island where who ever he has to duel against will surely kick his butt. Boom he looses
