‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15 spoilers: Dan Florek on tough scenes for Mariska Hargitay

What is coming up on the season 15 premiere of “Law & Order: SVU”? The best way to describe it is really just one word: Drama. You are going to be on the edge of your seat even more than you traditionally are watching the show, and that is saying quite a bit.

Of course, the reason for that the person that is going to be the victim in many ways is somebody that has been the person solving these cases over the years: Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson. Speaking to TVLine, series star Dan Florek had the following to say about what sort of story is coming up over the show’s first two hours:

“[This is] harrowing, challenging and worthwhile. I had no idea what was going to happen [in the premiere], so when we sat down and read it, first of all I was very moved by it and challenged by it. And then I thought, ‘Boy, Mariska is in for a rough ride.”

Hargitay has already said that this is one of the most emotional episodes that she has ever filmed, and that is with her spending a whopping decade and a half working on various cases. If she is saying that this is incredibly hard for her to film, then we know that there is something insane that is going to be happening here.

The only silver lining that we have to share here is that we know she will live to see another day, based on the fact that NBC has already confirmed her appearance in future episodes.
