‘Dexter’ series finale spoilers: Michael C. Hall on last scene; no Jennifer Carpenter spinoff

The latest -In just a week’s time, the “Dexter” series finale is going to be here, and we have to say goodbye to a show that is in our mind almost a TV institution. It’s been eight years since we’ve been without Dexter in our lives, and the attachment to him and the rest of Miami Metro is somewhat odd considering that these are probably the last people that you would ever want to be attached with in your actual life.

Nonetheless, this episode is hopefully going to bring everything to the table and then some. At the Paley Center this week discussing the show, we were teased about everything from a major storm coming to a few electrifying moments. Michael C. Hall (per E! News) also said the following when describing the last scene of the show:

“When we shot the final final scene, it was like the feeling when you read a really great book and you read that last page and something is hovering in the air. It was like that times a 100.”

One definitive thing that was said at the event came from Jennifer Carpenter, who confirmed to the crowd that there would be no spin-off focusing on the Deb character, saying that she feels like she has already played the role from “start to finish.” This news does not surprise us at all, mostly because we’ve said all along that if there is a spin-off, it will not be around a character who is so tied to the main storyline. We said it could be Hannah at the very beginning of the season, and that’s what we are sticking with … even if we don’t really think a spin-off is that necessary.
