‘Hell on Wheels’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Bohannon makes a ‘deal’ with Durant

When “Hell on Wheels” season 3 returns next Saturday on AMC, Bohannon is going to try to do his best to act as a broker of sorts. However, it does not take very long at all before we realize two things: He’s not going to get what he wants out of his negotiation-of-sorts with Durant, and he may also need to work on some of his negotiating strategies. Putting a razor to someone’s throat is really not the best way to get what you want out of them; plus, killing them sure isn’t going to do you a whole lot of good.

So why doesn’t Durant want to go along with his demand? The simple reason is that he doesn’t want to damage some of the relationships that he already has, and make life significantly more difficult for himself. We also somewhat enjoy how Durant continues to speak in a pretty pretentious manner, despite being potentially near his death here if he says the wrong thing.

There are only three episodes left this season before arriving at the finale, so we can expect there to be some crazy things to look forward to, and this scene is basically just the tip of the iceberg (though that seems to be a little bit of a strange analogy given the setting of this show).

One final note? Bohannon really needs to work on his skills as a barber if he wants to threaten more people in the future.
