‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4, episode 2 preview: ‘Resignation’ sneak peeks!

When it comes to the latest sneak peeks for Sunday night’s “Boardwalk Empire” season 4 episode, we have to say that HBO has managed to do a rather fine job here. Why? They have given us three fantastic peeks for the episode (entitled “Resignation”), and yet at the same time there is still so much here that we don’t quite know about the episode. It’s not often that you are able to pull off this sort of balance.

We’ve included all three videos released by the network below along with our thoughts on each one of them in order.

1. The scenery in this clip is absolutely stunning, and we just want to also take a moment yet again to express our joy at Michael K. Williams getting another great job on HBO following his time on “The Wire.” We also personally love the fact that he is a character named “Mr. White,” and is good enough that we don’t constantly feel the need to picture Jesse Pinkman in our head.

2. This clip is really rather funny to us, as we have an interesting debate over why in the world you would serve a meal when you know that it is unsatisfactory, and then whether or not someone other than Nucky Thompson is up to the task of helping him back to Florida. We personally love these moments, mostly because they provide us with a little bit of light for the show.

3. Two things that are great about this clip: More Van Alden, and some awesome music. Plus, who doesn’t love a surprise punch in the face that you never see coming?
