‘White Collar’ season 5 spoilers: Matt Bomer, Mark A. Sheppard face off in new promo

In the middle of all of this talk the past week about Matt Bomer being rumored to be a part of “50 Shades of Grey,” his show in “White Collar” really hasn’t received the sort of love that it deserves. Let’s fix that now.

If you look below, you can get a real sense of what is coming up with a pretty thrilling trailer centered all around the action of season 5. Ultimately, there is quite a bit to look forward to. Bomer’s Neal Caffrey is going to work to help get Peter out of his current predicament, but there will be some serious consequences as a result. Not only that, but he will also be forced into squaring off with an adversary (played by Mark A. Sheppard) that we haven’t seen on the show since the very beginning. Neal’s attempts to try to help Peter, save for finding his father and working to clear his name, seems to be going pretty well for now. However, “seems” is the key work here. Nothing on “White Collar” ever comes that easy, and with Neal losing his ankle bracelet, he’s putting himself at greater risk.

As for some of the other stories that we are going to be seeing this year, expect at least some of the standard fun that you have come to expect from “White Collar” when it comes to cases. Also, Neal will have a new love interest, a woman from Peter’s past could cause trouble for Peter and Elizabeth, and there will be stories about everything from dinosaurs to figuring skating.
