‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: First photo of Rose McIver’s Tinker Bell

Tinker Bell is clearly one of the most interesting new characters appearing on “Once Upon a Time” season 3, though we have to admit that our own mystery concerning the character is only going to deepen now that we’ve seen an actual photo of the character in action.

First of all, who expected the character to look like a life-size version of the Disney character? It’s certainly not what we expected from the fairy-tale world. Executive producer Edward Kitsis tells TV Guide, though, that the entire Tinker Bell character, played by Rose McIver on the show, is not exactly going to be the sort of person to really follow along with convention:

“Our Tink is very strong, a lot of fun and not afraid to go out and have a few shots. And although her heart is usually in the right place, she is mischievous.”

This Tinker Bell has a clear history with the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), and Kitsis’ fellow executive producer Adam Horowitz has also suggested that she and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) also share some sort of past that helps his party track down Peter Pan pretty early on in the season. She’s clearly well-connected for someone that we have never met on the show already, and we expect to see her in at least multiple episodes. (Like most of the other characters that we are getting set to meet, though, her fate beyond that is unclear for now.)

This glorious arrival of Tinker Bell comes just one day after ABC showed off some of their first footage of the character in a promo, which has us more excited than ever to see the arrival of Neverland come Sunday, September 29 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
