‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 12 review: Is Ezra ‘A,’ and what about CeCe Drake?

Pretty Little Liars -Leading up to tonight’s “Pretty Little Liars” summer finale, there were plenty of questions regarding everything from Ashley’s fate behind bars, to of course the ever-important question about the identity of Red Coat. We certainly ended up getting some answers regarding all of them, though not possibly in the way in which you would have thought.

First of all, there is the revelation that Ashley is now free! The police finally figured out thanks to Travis that the real suspect is actually CeCe Drake, and this was a feeling of relief for the rest of the Liars. This meant that the police were involved, and could do something without them getting too much more involved in the process.

Unfortunately, it was not too much longer after that when we realized that the police were not exactly going to have much of an opportunity to question CeCe at all. After hunting down the guilty parties, and saving Emily from being literally the girl who was cut in half, we quickly found out that Red Coat was CeCe … but only one of them. It looked at one point like she was dead, but she somehow managed to get away yet again. They did at least discover the new “A” lair, which was stuffed full of all sorts of other important information … including records that CeCe may have just been a hired gun, and that “A” may actually be a guy.

The biggest shocker, though, occurred in the closing minutes of the episode, where it was revealed that “A” was none other than … Ezra who was behind the entire thing. What a stunning, bizarre turn of events. What motivation does he really have for all of this? The only thing he has going for him right now is that no one suspects him, and we leave this finale completely confused. Plus, we’re pretty sure that Ezria fans are more than freaking out.

Oh, and we should mention that it sounds like Alison DiLaurentis is very much alive.
