‘Eastbound & Down’: Could Danny McBride, Lindsay Lohan make a new show?

The latest -It may sound like a crazy idea (mostly because the track record proves that it is), but could Lindsay Lohan somehow go from tabloid fodder to HBO series star? If Danny McBride has his way, its possible.

The actor recently spent some time with the former “Mean Girls” star, fresh off of a stint in rehab, on the set of “Eastbound & Down” taping his series finale, and was reportedly pretty impressed with the quality of work and the changes Lindsay has made. How impressed? If you believe a report from TMZ, McBride and his producing partner Jody Hill are interesting potentially in having Lindsay star in a new show that they are developing for the network.

In some ways, we could actually see this working out under one condition: Lindsay stays sober. That’s a pretty big condition, given that she hasn’t been able to do it yet, but she has the tutelage of Oprah Winfrey at her side now, and series television is something that could be a good spot for her, given that there is more of a consistent work schedule than working in the movies. Plus, HBO is one of the best companies that you can work for. They let creative people be creative, and you get fantastic people to work with. Let’s just say that the majority of their projects are miles better than anything Lohan has done in over half a decade.

Granted, you have to remember that this is still in the extremely early stages, and there is no guarantee at all that it will even get past the exploratory phase. (This is assuming that the reports are even true.)

Let’s just for now ask the following question: Would you watch a new show starring Lindsay? Be sure to share your thoughts below!
