2013 MTV VMAs: More evidence that ‘NSYNC reunion is happening
You know that you once had the biggest band on the planet when the hype surrounding a possible performance from you is bigger than some actual confirmed events, and that has been following ‘NSYNC around for the past few days. Ever since the internet first exploded at the rumor that Justin Timberlake was going to work again with Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, their every move has been examined with a fine-toothed comb.
But what do we take as near confirmation that the group is getting back together, at least for one night? The latest revelation is that the group now has an official Twitter account as of Sunday. It has also already been verified, meaning that they probably worked with Twitter prior to it being unveiled to the world.
In other words, this reunion is happening. Get ready to literally party like it’s 1999 in just 24 hours. This could be one of the most hotly-anticipated performances of the night, as they will likely do a medley of numbers together prior to Timberlake performing separately and being honored with an award.
Could a larger-scale reunion be in the works? We’d never say never, given other bands have come together in the past; but we think that it’s unlikely save for maybe a few tour dates at most. Given all of the money Justin makes on his own, he’d really just want to do this for the fun of it rather than any more commercial success.
