‘The Bachelor’: If only Juan Pablo Galavis will do this on his season…

Even though “The Bachelor” has not yet began filming for its new season, we’re starting to have a good feeling about Juan Pablo Galavis as a leading man. While he may have that sort of persona on the surface as this suave, uber-manly Latin guy, he’s also a little bit silly and perfect to be the heir apparent for the also-goofy Sean Lowe.

Want an example of what we are talking about here? Just take a look at the video below (via Juan Pablo’s Instagram), where he decides to spontaneously treat us to a round of him singing karaoke to the Backstreet Boys’ greatest hits. Do you like some “I Want It That Way”? It’s in there, as is “As Long As You Love Me,” “Quit Playing Games With My Heart,” and some other songs that you probably try to pretend you don’t love whenever you are hanging out with some of your friends.

Somehow, this video is the perfect companion piece to the one featuring Sean and Catherine Giudici pretending to rap recently, with the main difference being that you can kind-of hear Juan Pablo singing here. We didn’t see a ton of him on Desiree Hartsock’s season of “The Bachelorette,” and thanks to that, he is somewhat of a mystery. However, almost everything that we are seeing right now is something that we like, whether you are talking about the way he gushes about his daughter, his passion for life, and the fact that he hasn’t really used the same overplayed lines (“fairy tale”) that this show has shoved down our throat like a kid who doesn’t want their cough medicine.

Juan Pablo’s season premieres on ABC Monday, January 6, and we are going to have plenty more news along the way about filming, and also just what you can expect from the show when it comes on the air.
