‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Series boss says not to rule out Pam, Tara
“True Blood” had itself a pretty rocky (and at times disappointing) season 6, and for many, the biggest issues were with what we actually didn’t see on the show. After being teased repeatedly with the possibility of seeing some sort of interesting story revolving around Pam and Tara on the show, it simply did not happen. There was that kiss at the end of season 5 … and then that’s it, save for a few little comments here and there. Heck, during the flash-forward it almost appeared as though there was something going on between Tara and Willa.
However, executive producer Brian Buckner tells TVLine that if you were a fan of this couple prior to the start of this season, don’t jump ship on them now. There is still a possibility of something happening for them down the road, but patience here is most definitely the key:
“As the audience heard Pam say in Episode 1, life is long — especially for vampires. She also told Tara that this is not going to be a love story. But I would urge [fans] to be patient. Because if the show delivers on the audience’s expectation every week, that’s not storytelling. Where’s the surprise in that? These [story] threads can be picked up later. I want to be able to tell more interesting, circuitous stories at times and not always deliver on the junk-food promise of the show. “
Granted, the first thing that we have to figure out now is just where Pam is, given that she was not present during the flash-forward in the finale, and disappeared shortly before the death of Warlow triggered the end for vampires being in the sun.
This news follows up the revelation that Alexander Skarsgard is going to continue to be around for season 7, which is going to allow for there to be even more tension between Tara and Pam.
