For those who enjoyed seeing some Shelby on “Hart of Dixie,” we imagine that you will also enjoy this news: Laura Bell Bundy’s recent casting on “Anger Management” is not by any means a guarantee that you will never see her in the town of Bluebell, Alabama again.
Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Leila Gerstein confirms that Bundy will be around for at least a couple of episodes, but it will not be until a few weeks into the season before Shelby shows up again. There are hopefully going to be enough other guest stars coming up this season to help distract you, including Lavon’s cousin Lynly and Joel, a newcomer to Bluebell who, like Zoe, has some connections to the Big Apple. There’s also Kaitlyn Black, who is now a series regular and set to receive a much larger role.
Gerstein also did not rule out a possible return for the incredibly talented Claudia Lee (who we have had the pleasure of interviewing here at the site), even though she is now a series regular on Fox’s upcoming “Surviving Jack.” If not, the showrunner (seemingly) joked that they could just end up shipping the character off to boarding school.
There are likely going to be a number of other guest stars coming to the series in the weeks ahead, but it may take some time before all of them are announced. After all, much of it could depend on what happens with Jaime King’s character of Lemon while she is off on maternity leave.
What do you want to see with Shelby upon her return? You can see some more news related to Zoe and Wade at this link, and we’ll have more news leading up to the show’s season premiere on Monday, October 7.
