While there are still many mysteries out there when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy” season 6, there are at least a few things we can say about the September 10 premiere: Its title is “Straw,” there is going to be one of the most devastating moments in the history of the show, and at least one of the series’ new guest stars is going to be part of it.
As you may remember from earlier this summer, Kim Dickens from “Deadwood” was cast in the role of Collette, a powerful madame who has quite a bit of experience in the world of seduction. In particular, she will spend much of her screentime with a pair of actors who dealt with some brothel-related stories last year in Charlie Hunnam (Jax) and Jimmy Smits (Nero). It’s hard to go on much in the first photo from “Straw” above, but doesn’t Jax seem to be rather comfortable being around her? This is more than just his natural demeanor; it is also an impact that she is specifically having on him.
Dickens is just one of many guest stars coming on board this year; “Southland” star C. Thomas Howell will be stopping by, as will Kurt Sutter’s fellow veteran of “The Shield” in CCH Pounder and even Peter Weller, who is better known on this show for his directing duties. Donal Logue will also be around for most of the season as Lee Toric, who is expected by many to be one of the chief adversaries for Jax and SAMCRO. It’s a strong guest cast so far, and we imagine that there are a few other little secrets buried out there.
