At this point in time, Olly Murs has handled almost every job possible on “The X Factor” UK, save for maybe being a camera operator or a background dancer for one of the artists during a live show. He’s one of the most-successful solo singers to come out of the series, and he is also a former host of “The Xtra Factor” program. (We so badly wish he was still hosting the show.)
Now, Olly is going to be coming close to being a judge for the show, and it is all thanks to his new position as a mentor for the groups team fronted by Gary Barlow this year. He and Olly will take part in the judges’ houses part of the competition in New York City, while the other guests and locations are as follows:
1. Sharon Osbourne will be with the Overs in Los Angeles (where she is a panelist on “The Talk”), and will be joined by none other than her own daughter, Kelly.
2. Nicole Scherzinger is taking off to the exotic island of Antigua with the girls, where they will be mentored by her and Mary J. Blige.
3. Louis Walsh, paired with the boys for the first time in practically forever, is going to be taking his show to the South of France, where he will be working alongside Westlife’s Shane Filan.
What do you think about the lineup of mentors; are you impressed, bored, or do you really think it’s going to matter at the end of the day?
