‘American Idol’ notes: Adam Lambert, Lee DeWyze, and Jordin Sparks
More music to listen to – Lee DeWyze’s sophomore release “Frames” is coming out in stores this coming week, but if you want an opportunity to check out another track from the deluxe version of the track now, we want to be that source for you! Just click here, where you can listen to the acoustic version of “Fire Away.” All you have to do in order to hear the full version is to send out a tweet; not to bad for some great music.
Be sure to come back to CarterMatt all week; thanks to him having an album out Tuesday, we’re going to have more Lee coverage than usual.
A tease for new music – On the flip side, fans of Adam Lambert are going to be waiting for a while longer for a new album after his decision to cut ties with RCA. A third post-“American Idol” disc is in the early stages, but he did tweet out this week that he is working on some sort of project:
“Just got home from the studio. Recorded vocals to a great song! It’s coming along!”
It’s never particularly great to make assumptions, so we won’t either about if this is for another album or a different project; either way, it’s still nice to see that Adam is at work on something.
Finally, a trailer below – Take a peek at “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete” starring Jordin Sparks and Jennifer Hudson, which has a title that probably would make all poets out there smile. The movie opens soon in limited release.
In case you missed it earlier today, Jennifer Lopez was more or less confirmed to be the second judge on “American Idol” this coming season … as if there was really any doubt at this point.

i love Lee DeWyze Fire Away. it’s really fun & extremely catchy. you can’t sit still when it comes on. i’d love to hear this song on the radio. i love this entire album FRAMES. there’s not one song i’d skip & one’s better than the next. hope everyone checks it out; it’s Lee in true DeWyze style!

RE: American Idol it’s just same ole same ole. Same judges same producers mistakes so it looks like show is over after this season.
