‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 4 spoilers: A big tease and Melanie Griffith news

The latest -Here is something that is a little bit unusual: Watching someone in network TV teasing a major announcement coming up, even if you have no idea what this major announcement could be. As for some hints, here’s what you can know for now: It’s related to “Hawaii Five-0” on CBS, going to be announced on Monday, and it does not have anything to do with the casting of Melanie Griffith.

The news about Griffith came out courtesy of a WENN report this week, and she will be playing the mother of Scott Caan after he personally approached her about taking on the gig. She also had rave things to say about him after some past work that the two parties shared: “I did a play with him (Caan) last summer and he’s so cool. I adore him.”

The Monday tease was first posted online by the show’s executive producer Peter Lenkov, and the only thing that we can imagine right now is that it is of the good variety. You wouldn’t hype up a sad announcement a la Cote de Pablo leaving “NCIS,” given that you know this is something that will lead to some great sadness and unrest among the fan base. We imagine that is something to do with the structure of an episode, or some more additions to the guest cast.

“Hawaii Five-0” has already done a great job bracing for the Friday move by casting some big names, including the likes of Jorge Garcia, Henry Ian Cusick, Terry O’Quinn, and most recently Nick Jonas. We know that most of these people just satisfy our inner “Lost” fanatic, but it’s still exciting.
