‘The Bachelor’s’ Gia Allemand in critical condition; Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, more react

Breaking -There’s a scary situation breaking today in the world of “The Bachelor,” as former contestant and two-time “Bachelor Pad” alum Gia Allemand is currently in a New Orleans hospital in critical condition. While details about this situation are relatively sketchy, the event is serious enough for reactions to be pouring in across the show community, which is extremely tight-knit.

This news was first confirmed by the reality star’s publicist, who released the following statement on the subject:

“Gia Allemand was taken to University Hospital, New Orleans last night following a serious emergency medical event, the details of which are currently not known. She is listed in critical condition.

“Ms. Allemand’s mother is with her, along with her long-term boyfriend, NBA basketball player Ryan Anderson of the New Orleans Pelican. On behalf of the family, we kindly ask for privacy at this time.”

We never realized that Allemand and Anderson were in a relationship, but that is beside the point for the time being. Instead, let’s just move on to some of the requests for prayers by people who knew her in some shape or form.

Jake Pavelka (who famously eliminated her on “The Bachelor” back in 2010) – “Please pray for @GiaAllemand . . . A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know . . . #powerofprayer.”

“Bachelor Pad” champion Michael Stagliano – “Hey #BachelorNation send out a prayer for our girl @GiaAllemand.”

Most-recent “Bachelor” Sean Lowe – “Please take a moment and pray for @GiaAllemand . It’s not clear why but she’s in critical condition in a New Orleans hospital. Thank you.”

Upcoming “Bachelor” Juan Pablo Galavis – “Sending out my PRAYERS to @GiaAllemand, hope for a quick RECOVERY and STRENGTH to the family in this HARD situation . . .”

We’ll have more on this situation when it becomes available.
