There are still some soapy times coming up soon on the ninth season of “Bones,” and we are not just talking about there being an episode coming up that features a couples retreat.
Instead, this story is all about the latest casting news, and how it pertains to a certain somebody from the soap-opera world. In news that was first reported by Soap Opera Digest, Daytime Emmy Winner Greg Rikaart has been cast to play some sort of character who runs into Booth and Brennan while they are at this retreat (likely undercover as a part of a case), and there are no further details available outside of that.
However, we can at least give you a quote from Rikaart about the sort of time that he has had working alongside everyone on the “Bones” cast:
“I’m having a blast working on Bones. Such a welcoming, talented group of people here and this story is amazing. It’s a fun character too, who is so different from [The Young and the Restless’] Kevin.”
This episode will be in the early batch of “Bones” episodes, which is before the show makes the risky move over to Friday nights later in the fall. The new season premieres on Monday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, with one of the questions that will be asked right away being whether or not there is a way to rectify the Booth / Brennan wedding situation that fell victim to the work of Pelant last season.
