‘The X Factor’: Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, Demi Lovato all part of Teen Choice Awards

The latest -You almost might as well rename the Teen Choice Awards right now as the “Let’s Promote ‘The X Factor’ Awards.” The show had already announced that One Direction would be performing during the August 11 broadcast, and that Emblem3 from season 2 of the American version was nominated.

Now, let’s just sprinkle all of the following news on top of that. Demi Lovato, already a nominee in multiple categories both for her music and the show, will be performing; meanwhile, Fifth Harmony that sang with Demi on “The X Factor” finale will be presenting the ACUVUE Inspire Award. Meanwhile, Little Mix of the British version of the show will present the Candies Fashion Trendsetter Award. If there is one thing that is almost as rampant at this show as “The X Factor,” it is all of the various properties and brands hoping to snag a little bit more in the way of self-promotion. It really is running quite rampant at this point, isn’t it?

Some of the guest list for the show this year impressively includes the likes of Selena Gomez, Ashton Kutcher, practically everyone on “Pretty Little Liars,” “American Idol” winner Candice Glover, “True Blood’s” Anna Camp, Nina Dobrev of “The Vampire Diaries,” and plenty more. Lucy Hale of “Pretty Little Liars” and “Glee’s” Darren Criss are set to host the show.

We will be covering the Teen Choice Awards for a good part of the night, so be sure to come back for some of that. In between the “Breaking Bad” premiere, more of “True Blood” and “Dexter,” it’s turning out to be quite a busy night. (Then again, if you are a teen, you probably shouldn’t really be watching “True Blood” in the first place.)
